Nickel-plated PL-259 UHF Male crimp connector for LMR-240 and RG8X with Gold Solder Pin. This high quality 50 Ohm UHF Male PL-259 Connector with solder center pin for LMR®-240 and RG8X features a silver-plated brass center pin, PTFE dielectric and a nickel plated brass body & crimp ferrule. PL-259 connectors, commonly referred to as the UHF Male connector. They mate up with female UHF SO-239 connectors. They are commonly used for Amateur Radio Equipment, HAM Radio Antennas and CB Radio applications up to 1000W. We also have the crimper tool for these connectors.

This connector fits the following cable types:
• Times Microwave LMR-240 , LMR-240-DB, LMR-240-FR, LMR-240-FR-PVC, LMR-240-PVC, LMR-240-PVC-W, LMR-240-LLPL CommScope WBC-240 and CNT-240 • All LMR-240 Equivalent Cables & Belden® 7808, RG-8X (RG8X) and RG59

I Just bought one because I wanted to be sure these were satisfactory quality since the price was so low.  It looks to me like it's equal to the other "discount" connectors I've been buying for years.  Anxious to try   soldering to it and running some tests on an assembled cable soon.

Makes me look like an expert because I don’t have to solder the center pin and not have to deal with the  messy grounding soldering work. In addition I bought the crimping tool from Roger to enable a professional looking job. Don’t try to do it with pliers. Incidentally, the price here beats everyone and you know you’re getting the right tool for the job.
