A very nice low-cost variable temp soldering station. Unit provides full range temperature selection 10 to 50 watts - (350 to 900 F) with an incredible tip temperature stability. Rapid temperature rise time, ideal when tip usage is intermittent, quick response if necessary. Stainless steel solder-tinned tip combine heating and temperature sensing at the end of the tip to provide temperature control and unmatched response time.

A slim pencil offers minimum tip-to-grip ratio for precise control. soldering at the correct temperature is very important to ensure perfect solder connection. If the temperature is too low the solder will not flow correctly and will cause cold *solder joints. If the temperature is too high the flux will be burned and not allow the solder to flow. High temperature can also cause damage to a PCB Board and other sensitive components. When tip working temperature is set within the correct parameters suited to the particular solder being used a good joint is assured.

Solder in the electronics industry is 60% tin, 40% lead (60/40) with a rosin core.
